Job Opportunities at  North Mara Gold Mine Limited  North Mara Gold Mine Limited is seeking to recruit two (2) Fixed Plant Supervisors to join Underground Fixed Plant team. The successful candidates for this position will carry out assigned maintenance tasks within the guidelines of Company Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practice as well as other assigned tasks within the range of competencies.

This a Permanent role. The role will report to Underground Fixed Plant Superintendent.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure team member in the plant adhere to safety regulations and use the correct PPE.

Report all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) issues via an incident report.

Perform task risk assessments (JHA, FLRA).

Ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all employees.

Maintaining, repairing mechanical issues, diagnostics / Fault Finding and Routine inspection on a variety of fixed plant equipment, Coordinate activities in the unit and report back to Fixed Plant Superintendent.

Develop, implement & lead mechanical maintenance for all fixed plant equipment, ancillary facilities & process systems.

Support and coordinate the development of maintenance plans, budgets and schedules.

Manage the execution of maintenance plans and assessment of efficiency and execution improvements.

Manage and implement company safety standards and set expectations at all levels of staff and supporting contractors.

Coordinate maintenance plans and tasks with Operations, I&E, Reliability and Planning Superintendents.

Develop staff teamwork skills to ensure integration with Operations and Maintenance, with a mind-set of team success.

Define, implement and promote systems, training and standards that maximize equipment effectiveness and availability.

Lead maintenance practices that will focus on reaching operational excellence, and enhance maintenance capabilities to deliver improved equipment reliability, decreasing repair and maintenance costs.

A relevant trade qualification in Mechanical or Technician Certificate from a recognized institution.

A Mechanical Trade Certification is highly desired.

10 years’ maintenance experience within fixed plant specialization

Ability to train less experienced members of the staff.

Must have computer skills in, word, excel & outlook

Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit Process Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate for this position will ensure activities in the Shaft Engineering Department are effectively planned and undertaken in a safe and cost-effective manner to achieve targets in accordance to BGML Mining Safety Standards, Policies and Procedures.

Reporting to: Process Electrical & Instrumentation Foreman

Duration: Permanent

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure safe work practices by attending compulsory safety courses and meetings; rectified or reported all hazard at workplace

Ensure work requirements are identified from request/work orders or equivalent and clarified/confirmed with appropriate parties or by site inspection

Ensure resources required to satisfy the work plan are identified, obtained and inspected for compliance with the job specifications

Ensure correct size, type and quantity of materials/components are determined, obtained and inspected for compliance with the job specifications

Ensure work is planned in detail including sequencing and prioritising and considerations made, where appropriate, for the maintenance of plan security and Capacity in accordance with system/site requirements.

Interpret technical drawings.

Ensure Team members understand their current technical knowledge gaps, must be reviewed 4x annually

Ensure E & I supervisor Weekly and monthly reports are completed  on time

Ensure required isolations are confirmed where appropriate in accordance with site requirements.

Ensure Equipment components, wires, cables, terminations and support fixings are inspected for obvious faults in accordance with the work plan.

Ensure all appropriate components are disconnected to enable accurate test measurements of suspected faulty components without the concern of “backfeed” readings in accordance with the work plan.

Ensure Test and measurement instruments are used in accordance with manufacturers’ job requirements.

Ensure repair and preventative maintenance on process plant Electrical & instrumentation and process control systems to achieve production and cost targets.

Provide accurate and timely feedback to Process Plant Maintenance E& I foreman on condition that may affect functionality of equipment

Ensure required isolations are confirmed where appropriate in accordance with Barrick site requirements.

Ensure Faulty, worn, damaged or unsecured components are replaced, repaired or secured in accordance with the work plan.

Ensure Parts and components are selected and replaced as required in accordance with specification and work plan.

Ensure Final job inspection is performed and permits are relinquished as required in accordance with the work plan.

Ensure Work area is cleared of waste, cleaned, restored

and secured in accordance with Barrick safety standards / procedures

Ensure work tools and equipment are maintained and stored in accordance with Barrick safety standards/ procedures.

Ensure Work completion details are finalised in accordance with work requirements & procedures

Ensure equipment components, wires, cables, terminations and support fixings are inspected for obvious faults in accordance with the work plan.

Ensure proper repair and preventative maintenance in process plant electrical

Ensure components disconnected for testing are reconnected having been proven free of faults and all terminations are then checked to ensure they are electrically and mechanically sound in accordance with the work plan.

Ensure budget Expenditure not exceeded monthly and annually- Focus on Cost Saving Initiatives

Ensure Team members Time & Attendance 100% managed & updated daily

Ensure handovers conducted at the start and end of every shift 100% accuratel

Ensure100% of shift reports accurately & correctly completed and submitted on time

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:                                                             

Diploma/FTC/VETA in Electrical /Instrumentation or Equivalent from recognized Institute.

Tanzanian Valid Driving License.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a minimum 4 years’ Experience in Electrical and Instrumentation

Must have a minimum 3 years’ experience in leadership role and Management

North Mara Gold Mine Limited is seeking to recruit two (02) Underground Maintenance Supervisors to join Underground Engineering Team. The successful candidates for this position will carry out assigned maintenance tasks within the guidelines of Company Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practice as well as other assigned tasks within the range of competencies.

This is a permanent role.  The role will report to Underground Mobile Fleet Superintendent.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide supervision for the underground mobile maintenance work force in the underground Engineering department.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Coordinates all workshop and maintenance activities ensuring that all maintenance personnel are assigned specific tasks and responsibilities.

Works closely with the Maintenance Planner to ensure maintenance plans are updated and executed accordingly.

Coordinates weekly meetings with production to schedule equipment maintenance requirements.

Delivers machine availability in accordance with company expectations.

Ensures spare parts are sourced and maintained.

Actively promotes continuous improvement through machine availability improvements and the elimination of waste.

Provides leadership and mentoring to trades team to support a proactive culture.

Develops team training plan to ensure workforce is adequately skilled to meet business needs.

Undertakes employee performance management under direction of Underground policies and procedures.

Administration of leave for trade.

Completes quality checks and ensures that quality inspections/gauging are being completed as required.

Monitors training records to ensure maintenance team adherence.

Ensures that maintenance personnel are working in compliance with workplace safety and environmental requirements.

Completes risk assessments for non-routine tasks as required to ensure safe operations.

Ensures that the work health and safety requirements of this function are maintained in accordance with statutory legislation and company policies and procedures.

Leads the investigation process for workplace incidents and injuries with maintenance personnel.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:           

A relevant trade qualification in mechanical or Technician Certificate from a recognized institution.

A Mechanical Trade Certification is highly desired.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 5 years post apprenticeship experience working on underground mobile fleet.

Minimum 5 years of Experience working on Sandvik and Caterpillar machines.

Demonstrated competencies in the rebuild and servicing of underground mining mobile equipment’s.

Well-developed oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to interact with People of diverse cultures and levels.

Provide supervision for the underground mobile maintenance work force in the underground maintenance department.

Carry out repairs and maintenance plans in a safe and productive work environment and administering company policies and procedures

Support Operational objectives by minimizing risks and maximizing value and focus on Safety, quality, and cost management.

Perform other duties as assigned.
